And if you are tempted to turn inland to explore further, you will find that situated on this idyllic part of the Cote d’Azur where ‘Provence meets the sea’ La Napoule is the natural spring board from which to explore this legendary region.
For example, such gems as the Verdon Gorges, (the second largest Grand Canyon in the world), with its beautiful emerald river and the magnificent Saint Croix lake are only a couple of hours drive away.
Or from Nice you can take the magical steam train Le Pignes in the Var valley & stop off at stunning villages such as the medieval Entrevaux, Arnot, or continue all the way to Dignes and visit a country market set in a bygone era.
In February, the hills of nearby Tanneron come alive with the beautiful vivid yellow of the wild Mimosa, culminating in flower festivals throughout the regions including Mandelieu La Napoule which is known as the Mimosa Capital.
